Central Doorset Manufacturing Limited have heavily invested in 2023 with the introduction of a 15,000 sq/ft joinery and assembly facility and 15,000 sq/ft storage and distribution warehouse. The introduction of these buildings it has freed up some space in our Main Peterlee facility to install our new door line. We decided that the time was right to invest in our own door leaf manufacturing facility to enable us to be in full control of our quality, lead time and door costings.

We started looking at the investment in early 2022 and decided to order the equipment at the end of that year. We have purchased some of the most advanced technology available to our industry. We purchased a Gabiani S95 beam saw, Steffani X edge bander, DMC sd90 sander and Sergiani GS-A-R automated press line. The door line will be producing door leaves for Central for January 2024 and has a capacity to allow us to manufacture 500 doors a week. Not only does this investment strengthen our business it will also introduce 12 new jobs to the local area.
